Social Studies Reflection: Pt.1

In term two I conducted a Social Inquiry on Migration!

My Social Inquiry focussed on the movement for migrants from Australia to New Zealand.
The push reasons why Australian Migrants left their country of origin is that there are a lot of Bush Fires in Australia which is runing the WildLife living in the Bushes & people too.

The pull reasons why they moved to NZ is because in New Zealand we don't have a lot of Crime & Punishment & we have a lot of nice, kind people in our country.

Some of the obstacles they faced was Family lost & Emotional

  1. When I was living in Australia, a few years ago, there was a greater rate of migration from New Zealand to Australia than there is today. A major pull factor was the mining boom which provided high salaries (which has since finished) and a significant push factor was the Christchurch Earthquake in 2011.
