Snag Golf

Last week on Thursday morning it was the first time for the Seniors to have Snag Golf and joining us was our coach, Jay. We had learnt a lot of things at Snag Golf. We were all split up into groups of three. I was in a group with boys and I was with my friends' Suliasi and Aydrian. The thing that really interested me was putting the ball through our sticky mountain and into the hoop. Snag Golf was fun and I can't wait until next week.

Thank You Terry Jarvis

Last week on Thursday morning my teacher Mrs Golder told me to write a small Thank You Card or Poster to our school Book Sponsor, Terry Jarvis. As I started Mrs Golder told me that my deadline was at 12:00 pm Friday.

When Friday came I did completely nothing but small drawings, I only had three hours left until I had to finish it, so I tried very hard to not be distracted by my classmates. There were a few times I became distracted.  It was from all the Fun activities that the class was doing but I got back to work. I was nearly finished. I only had a few minutes left before I  had to hand it in. I tried my best to finish it fast. I finished and I went to Mrs Golder in the room next door to show her and she was very impressed. After she took a picture, I had to hand it in quick, I only had a few seconds left so I bolted as fast as I could to hand it to a teacher, Mrs Pederson. When I walked into the office Mrs Pederson told me that I only had 1 minute left. She saw it, and she and another teacher were also impressed as well.

This is how it turned out:

Reading To Room 7

Yesterday afternoon Room 7 came to our class for Buddy Reading.  This is when Seniors read to the Juniors or Juniors read to the Seniors. As Room 7 arrived in the door I grabbed a book from the Library called Peter And The Wolf. I got Junior and  read the book to her. After reading the book Room 7's teacher Ms Riley told the kids to do two medals and a mission which is the listener has to give feedback to the reader. My two medals was for 1. Reading with expression, 2. With a loud and clear voice and my mission was nothing. I had really enjoyed reading a book to a Junior and hope my other senior classmates enjoyed it too.

Receiving My Certificate

A few weeks ago on Monday we had a Senior Syndicate Assembly and Room 11 was hosting it. By the time the other teachers finished handing out their certificates, it was my teacher Mrs Golder's turn to get up and go in front of everybody. She said my name "Quros," and why I got the certificate, "for his can do attitude in all areas of his learning." I was in  absolute shock when she called out my name. After I received my certificate my friend Maranatha had received a certificate too. After the Senior Syndicate Assembly MaranathaMeana (my backup photographer) and I went to the back of the Multipurpose and took several photos.

My Speech To Ravinder

"On behalf of Ruapotaka School I would like to say, 'Thank You Ravinder'  for coming here and talking and advising us about reading. Just as reading is important to you reading is also important to us. I think it's a great idea that you're a part of the Duffy Programme because now we get to receive our Duffy Books."

Hosting The Senior Syndicate Assembly

On Monday it was our turn to host the Senior Syndicate Assembly for Rooms 9, 10 and 11. We had planned this since last Friday afternoon. Our plan was to do something called a Class Feud, just a bit like that T.V Show, Family Feud. I was the person who did the introduction and prefect reminders along with another prefect, my friend Heilala. We had sung two songs: one Am I Wrong by: Nico and Vinz and two Hello by: Adele. For Class Feud Room 9 came 1st place, along with Room 10 2nd place, then my class Room 12 3rd place, and Room 11 last place. Our Senior Syndicate Assembly was fun!!

Back At It Again!!!

Right now I am at school, it has already been one hour since school's started so now I am going to write you a short recount about what I have done so far.

Firstly I arrived here at school at eight thirty-one in the morning, with my brother Texas and friend Samuel. Time passed before the bell had rung for fitness at eight fifty-five. After fitness I went back to class with all my classmates and my teacher. Everyone was back at school and had switched their lazy modes into working mode.

The first thing that we did was the Roll Administration, Oral Language and Writing. But while doing our writing one of my two classmates Sophie-Isabella and Pallas had forgotten their passwords to their Chromebooks, so they wasted our writing time because they took Mrs Golders' focus away from us. So that's what had happened in one hour at school.
